The Dream From God

We had a surreal experience as we said good-bye to our kids at the airport who were on their way to China.
How do you explain what it feels like to send your “baby girl,” who in actuality is an incredible adult, to a far away country to get her baby girl?
It is mystifying to understand how time goes by so quickly. The thing is . . .  I remember when my parents would talk about the speed of time . . . and . . . well . . . I thought that was a dumb thing to say.
So.
Apparently, I need to apologize for yet another preconceived idea about life.
Seriously, it takes a lifetime to “get it.”
Ultimately, we need to see the bigger picture to understand life.  Too often, we only see our present circumstances.
The power of  our story  is even greater as we look beyond our thoughts and see what thoughts God has about our lives.   I received the call from God to adopt a child from another country when I was a child.  Certainly, I could not have dreamed that the call would be issued to the next generation.   It is an amazing experience to know that our kids carry the same passion in their heart as we have in our heart.

And, yet, there is something even more profound to think about . . . God has issued us to carry what is on His heart within our own heart.
Think about it.
God literally has put His dream within our heart:  He has made everything appropriate in its time He has also set eternity in their heart . . . Ecclesiastes 3:11a

It is a big thought to think the joy we give God when we dream the dreams of His heart.
So.
Take a look at the dream God put in Joshua’s heart.  It was on God’s heart for the Hebrews to go into the Promised Land.  All but Joshua and Caleb had rejected the plan.  For Joshua, the dream did not diminish; he trusted God.  And . . . God brought the dream into reality: And the priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan while all Israel crossed on dry ground, until all the nation had finished crossing the Jordan Joshua 3:17.

Can you imagine . . .  how Joshua felt when he saw the water piled up . . . with the ark of the covenant, the presence of God, firmly planted in the middle?

How do we know a dream is from God?
Divine power is seen in the center of every God-given dream.

And, can you imagine how Joshua must have felt when the people shared the dream and walked across the Jordan on dry ground? God's dreams are meant to be shared.

Share the dream God has put on your heart.
See the dream come to reality.
Experience the power of carrying the dreams of God.

Learning with you to KICK START the day carrying the dreams of God within the heart.
