Catch the Wind . . . Make Your Summer Days Count

The seagulls had perfect timing . . .
catching the wind . . .
becoming motionless . . .
as they rode the waves of the air.
There is no way that the seagull could be strong enough to be motionless in the air without the power of the wind.
The thing is  . . . seagulls on the Oregon Beach are overlooked by the typical Oregonian.  The seagulls are perceived to be . . . well . . . ordinary . . . that is, until  a 'gull' rides the wind.
Isn't it true that we often dismiss something or someone because we fail to see what really matters?
When it comes to people, we often connect with one another by what we do, what we offer, and what we have while missing what matters.  The Scripture is clear . . .   regardless of how we or others regard ourselves . . .  an incomparable life occurs through the presence of Christ: If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us. As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us—trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he lives! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus' sake, which makes Jesus' life all the more evident in us. While we're going through the worst, you're getting in on the best! 2 Corinthians 4:7
It is Christ in us that gives power to catch the wind, breaking through the constraints, adversity and obstacles transforming our life into something more than can be asked, thought, or even imagined.
How do we break through  and  make the next 47days before Labor Day count?

It comes down to a choice: Will we be held captive by the weakness of the ordinary clay jar or liberated and empowered by the power of the Spirit of God within the ordinary clay jar?

Refuse to let the ordinary clay jar define your life.
Live.
Live in Christ.
Catch the wind of the Holy Spirit. Experience the power that brings great strength.
Enjoy the ride!
Learning with you to KICK START the day catching the wind of the Holy Spirit.
