Crisis. That is how they define their life . . . an ongoing-never-ending-crisis. Their schedule is filled with dates for centers around doctor’s visits, hospital stays, and times for medication. They want to live beyond their ongoing-never-ending-crisis mode; however, they are imprisoned by disease. What, then, can they do?
Paul was appointed by God to spread the message of Christ . . . to build the church . . . but he was imprisoned by his enemies . . . and there was a problem in the church . . . people were preaching out of pretense . . . deception . . . false motives.
What then? What could he do?
He wrote: What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice . . . Philippians 1:18
The thing is . . . God has promised there is more to life . . . more than what we can see: You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. (Genesis 50:20)
Paul saw through the circumstances of his life . . . he saw reality . . . he knew God was at work and that Christ was being proclaimed despite adversity and adversaries. And . . . he rejoiced. The ability to rejoice comes from the presence and peace of God . . . a well-being of mind, heart, and body.
Pray: I will rejoice!
What then? Trust God. Be confident that God is doing a good work though you can’t see it today. And . . . rejoice . . . be well.
Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . rejoicing.
