Reality of God

I heard a noise outside of my office . . . and turned around . . . to see a volunteer cleaning.  Seriously . . . instead of being home on a Monday night . . . she put on some work clothes and came to clean the church office. 

Why?  She wanted to make a difference for God. 

Yes . . . but . . . cleaning?  Serving God is about the heart not the task.

It is easy to become entangled, caught up, and consumed with the stuff of life and miss out on what God has for us.  Serving God is at the core of finding fulfillment and purpose in life.  The reality of God is more than can be imagined . . . above and beyond self-imposed limitations:

Jesus said, "You're tied down to the mundane; I'm in touch with what is beyond your horizons. You live in terms of what you see and touch. I'm living on other terms. I told you that you were missing God in all this. You're at a dead end. If you won't believe I am who I say I am, you're at the dead end of sins. You're missing God in your lives." (John 8:23-24 (The Message))

How can we be released from the mundane and live beyond the horizon in the reality of God?

While it sounds simple . . . we must get serious . . . and commit to living for God rather than self.

So how do we begin?

Put God first:
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

It takes intention to live in the reality of God, to remember God will do the work, and to believe life will become more than can be imagined through the presence and power of God . . . even through cleaning the church office. 

So. Commit to living in the reality of God today.

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . .  in the reality of God.
