The "I Can" of Christ

As pastor, I am often invited to be a part of life experiences with others.  And, listen . . . there are some down-right stinking circumstances individuals go through.  Along the way, there is a moment in time that a decision must be made to how the details of the circumstance will be managed.  Our response is one of two choices:
“I can.”
“I can’t.”
The thing is . . . there is a point in time . . . that we can’t . . . unless we have divine strength. The Apostle Paul said it: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

The “I can”  is received through opening ourselves up to the presence of Christ in every thought, word, and action.  Fear is disseminated by as the strength of Christ invades our response making the most impossible situation possible to face with courage.

Look at the Early Church leaders as they took the message of Christ to the world with courage:   They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said. ( Acts 13: 2-22)

And, because of their endurance and persistence through the strength of Christ in the ancient days. . . we too have received the message and continue on today in the same strength . . . and courage.

Determine to face the day with the “I can” of Christ.
Spend time in prayer and in the word . . . receiving the Truth.
Surrender the situation to Christ.
Courageously follow Christ in every and all circumstances.

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . with the “I can” of Christ,
                                      Pastor Kerrie
