Seek First

Making a decision can be extremely difficult, especially when it is about life and death.  Dramatic?  Perhaps.  But.  When you get down to it, a decision either leads to more growth and productiveness or to a dead-end.
Jesus talked about managing decisions by first seeking the kingdom of God:  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:32-34
As we seek the things of God first . . . we experience the kingdom life.
So, how do we seek the kingdom first?
The Early Church leaders prayed and fasted, crucial components of seeking: Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust (Acts 14:23).
Take time to think about the explosion of power that has continued throughout the ages in the Church because of seeking the kingdom things first.
Experience living by seeking through prayer and fasting.
Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . by seeking the kingdom of God first,
