Seeing . . . Make Each Summer Day Count

I was driving on a road with bright orange construction signs demanding drivers to slow down and to be cautious.  Along the way, different homeowners had placed their own signs reminding people to slow down.  But . . .  one sign caught my eye . . . that said: Go fast.  Hurry home.  Enjoy your family.

Isn’t that hilarious?  Wouldn’t you like to know the person who wrote the sign?

The person saw beyond the construction . . . saw an opportunity to give a message . . . saw individuals, not just vehicles.

How often do we miss seeing the obvious in a situation . . . the presence . . . and power of God?

Check out Jacob’s realization of the presence of God in the book of Genesis:
15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."
16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it." 17 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven." Genesis 28:15-17

God promised:
To watch over  . . . wherever.
And Jacob realized:
God was present . . . but he had been unaware.

Jacob realized he had not known God was present. The greatest evidence was the word of God promising: I am with you.  The astonishing thing is that God gives us the ability to intimately know and enjoy His presence, a life-transformation experience.  We are born to experience the presence of God. Even so . . . we often miss the presence of God for all sorts of reasons, whether it is from unbelief or being so absorbed with ourselves and all that is going on around us. And, then we miss living . . . breathing and enjoying life . . . aware of the  presence of God.

Where have you missed the presence of God?
Make each summer day count . . . become aware of the presence of God.
See the presence of God . . . and ask God to make you see differently.
Let the presence of God be reflected in and through you.
Enjoy.

Learning with you to KICK START the day seeing the presence of God,
