Across the world, two
parents are getting ready to meet their daughter. They spent a lifetime of waiting and about
eighteen months of preparing and providing the way for a future together with
their daughter. Why?
Love.
Love has amazing
power.
Joshua understood the
power of God’s love . . . a love that provided a way for a future
in the Promised Land. The people had spent
a long time . . . forty-years of wandering . . . of not engaging with the
plan of God because of a lack of belief in the power of God’s love. The thing is . . . God continued to love
them.
He provided a way
through the flooding waters of the Jordan River by piling it up in one
heap. It was worth remembering: 'Take up for
yourselves twelve stones from here out of the middle of the Jordan, from the
place where the priests' feet are standing firm, and carry them over with you
and lay them down in the lodging place where you will lodge
tonight'" Joshua 4:3.
Believe the love of
God that provides for a future worth remembering.
Set up your “stones
of remembrance.”
Remember the power of
God’s love each day.
