Your Life

I talked with an individual who could only see what he did not have in his life.  Anger came to the forefront as he obsessed about his perceived needs. The thing is . . . he began to lose what he had . . . the things that mattered because of his angry  thoughts, words, and behavior.

Someone that does not see the life God has given needs to look again; however, it is often lost before they realize what they have received.

When all is said and done . . . our response is derived from our thoughts. We need to be honest about what we think about and how we think.  Our thoughts can have a strong hold on our life, constraining and even limiting how we live.  The Apostle Paul underscored the fact that we do not respond as those who live without the presence of Christ:  For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Joshua understood.  He did not see the flooding Jordan River as an obstacle for God.  He refused to focus on the impossibilities but instead took action . . . going where God said to go . . . believing what God said He would do: and when those who carried the ark came into the Jordan, and the feet of the priests carrying the ark were dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the days of harvest), Joshua 3:15

Look at what God has given you.
Be grateful.
Celebrate the invitation to engage in the life God has given you.
Go where God says to go.
Do what God says to do.
Celebrate when you get to the edge of your flooding Jordan River . . . enter in with faith.
Learning with you to KICK START the day looking at what God has given.
