The Gift of Living

He complained.
He was tired of working.
He was laid off.
He complained.
He wanted to work.
He realized work was a gift.
She hated her life.
She felt confined.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She wanted to live.
She realized life is a gift.

Life is a gift . . . but too often we fail to understand what we have received.

There is a decision to make . . . how to live our life . . . especially in the messiness of daily living.

When you get down to it . . .
we often don't understand that we need to go in a different direction to experience life as a gift . . .
and when we are turned around from the hopelessness and despair of crises . . . we experience the joy of living.

Life mattered to the Apostle Paul.  He wrote:

always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, Philippians 1:4

Paul understood the joy of living . . . though he was in prison . . . he had joy in sharing the gift of life with the called out . . . the ecclesia . . . the Church.

Do you see the gift you have received . . . the gift of life?

Determine to receive the day as a gift.

Experience the joy of sharing life with others.

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . realizing life is a gift,

Pastor Kerrie
