The Good Work of God

They came on their bi-annual road trip to our house.
We have watched them grow up . . . from boys into men. Throughout their stay, I couldn’t help think about the miracle of the process growing and maturing until completion.

The Apostle Paul wrote of his confidence in the completing process of the good work of God in  Philippians 1:6,
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

The literal translation states, “I am continually confident that God is doing a good work.” The word, “good” needs to be highlighted. Receiving the good work comes through aligning the mind, heart, and soul with the presence and power of God.

A Christ-follower aligns with the active good work of God through surrender. This includes surrendering obstacles such as disappointment, despair, depression, hurt, hostility, and hate.  Releasing the challenging obstacles occupying the heart requires an exchange process.  Obstacles, such as disappointment often creates a habitual pattern of thinking. Surrendering to the work of God exchanges the perspective of disappointment to the thought of how it could be His-appointment.

There is a learning process that is required to form the belief that the transforming work of God brings all things together for good, including the difficulties and challenges of life. God actively works His good within our character, conduct, conversation, and competency through our surrender.  And . . . God promises to complete . . . finish . . .  His work.

Be continually confident that God is actively working His good in your life.

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . surrendering to the good work of God,

Pastor Kerrie
