The Power of Commitment

She was in trouble.
Family . . . friends . . . the church . . . supported her.
His wife died.
Family . . . friends . . . the church . . . came alongside of him.
She lost her job.
Family . . . friends . . . the church . . . provided for her.
He had a severe stroke.
Family . . . friends . . . the church . . . cared for him.
It is right to be committed to one another . . . in good times . . . as well as difficult times.
The Apostle Paul revealed the strength of committed relationships in Philippians 1:7~It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me.
The grace of God, an over-the-top-out-of-this-world strength, empowers and enables us to commit.  Even so, it requires us to choose.  Paul chose to commit . . . to the point that he had the early church in his heart.  Certainly, his commitment was a vital component of building and growing the church . . . changing the history of humanity. . . bringing hope to the world.

Commit. . . to connect . . . to share . . . to love . . . to be.
Experience compassion.
Focus on the needs of others.
Refuse to be comfortable.
Reach out to someone and commit through the power of Christ.

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . committing to one another,

Pastor Kerrie
