Hope Does Not Disappoint

We are grieving for our friends.  Their daughter was to be married in two weeks . . . tragedy struck . . . her fiance' was killed by a drunk driver this holiday weekend.  If we are honest, none of us have an adequate understanding of tragedy to even begin explaining it.

What I do know is this:
Christ will be our anchor even when nothing makes sense. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil (Hebrews 6:19, NRSV)

Christ will give peace in the storm: Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. (John 14: 27, NRSV)

Christ will walk through the darkest of times with us: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23: 4, TNIV)

Christ will renew our strength in each moment: But those who wait for the Lord who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. (Isaiah 40:31, AMP).

Christ will give hope even when everything seems hopeless:  And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5, , NRSV )

At the end of the day . . . life is about the hope of Christ . . . and hope does not disappoint.

Live this day in the hope of Christ.

Learning with you to KICK START the day knowing hope does not disappoint,
Kerrie
