The Unexpected

The unexpected happens . . . changing schedules and plans . . .  testing our convictions and beliefs. When you get down to it, living is a daily test.  Our response is key to what occurs next.
The young woman, Mary, was unexpectedly visited by the angel, Gabriel:
During Elizabeth's sixth month of pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin. She was engaged to marry a man named Joseph from the family of David. Her name was Mary. The angel came to her and said, "Greetings! The Lord has blessed you and is with you." (Luke 1:26-28 NCV)

Can you imagine being visited by an angel with a message from God?  One thing is for sure . . . the message would have our attention . . . schedules and plans would be put aside.   Nothing and no one would matter but God.

The Apostle Paul explained what it means to put everything aside but Christ, God with us: But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Philippians 3:7
The key to a purposeful and meaningful life is defining life through Christ.  As we put Christ first, the words of Gabriel become a reality:  The Lord has blessed you and is with you."

Stop . . . Breathe . . . God has a message for you.
Receive the message of God.
Focus on the message.
Look for the unexpected work of God.
Give up one thing (fast) until the New Year for more time and clarity with God.

Ask God to get you ready for the unexpected.
Celebrate the unexpected work of God!

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . in the unexpected message of God.

Establish Peace

Focus
Peace
When we invite Christ into the journey of life, we are given eyes to see that God is always with us. God is not separate . . . not somewhere far off . . . but with us . . . we are not alone. We do not need to strive for peace or try to make peace happen; Christ will establish peace for us.

Meditate
LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12.

Pray with expectation.
Breath prayer: Establish Peace.
