What Matters

Go Deeper;  interAct: Bible Study  & Sign up for a daily Christmas meditation: Expectation . . . Advent 2009

Focus:  John 1:4
In him was life, and that life was the light of all people.

 Christmas is not always easy,
especially for individuals experiencing loss from death, divorce, health, finances, and other painful circumstances
that produce sadness and grief within us.

Christmas can seem more like a chore than a gift.  Gifts, greeting cards, get-togethers, and other seasonal traditions often enhance grief.
That said, there is a gift that can be received in grieving . . .
as thoughts and emotions are stripped . . .
an understanding of what really matters in life can be received.
The thing is . . .
Christmas is about what really matters . . .
Life . . . Immanuel, God with us.

Think on this precept today: Life came . . . Immanuel . . . God with us.
Focus on John 1:4.

1.      What really matters?
2.      What does it mean that in Christ . . . there was life . . . and that life is light to and for us this Christmas?
3.      What needs to be stripped within you to experience the Life and the Light?

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . .
focused on what really matters this Christmas,

Convinced

Advent Focus
Love

 Meditate
Are you convinced that the love of God is more powerful than anything or anyone?  Does your life reveal that you are convinced?

Meditate on what it means to be convinced that God sent His Son out of the power of love.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

Pray with expectation.
Breath prayer: Convinced of Your Love
