Picture-Perfect-Christmas

An individual told me that problems don’t seem to fit into Christmas. I would agree when it comes to a picture-perfect-Christmas.  While it may be true that we think that a Norman Rockwell Christmas exists . . . the authentic and true Christmas was about the glory of God . . .  connecting with the grime of humanity.  Christ, God with us, entered the world fully human to engage and participate with humanity.
Isaiah prophesized, during a time of adversity when the people had turned from God, that the Messiah would come and be called Wonderful Counselor. The thing is . . . God came to be with us . . .
to walk through life with us . . .
to be our peace in all times.
Jesus issued an invitation: All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11:29-30).
We are invited to go to Christ . . . to rest . . . and to give the burden . . . and learn.  What is the result of accepting the invitation?
Peace . . . a peace that will never come from a circumstance but from the heart of God . . . the shalom . . . that produces health and wholeness.

Today
Accept the invitation of Christ . . . God with us . . . Wonderful Counselor.
Stop.
Breathe.
Receive the gift of the Spirit as Counselor.
Be aware of His presence.
Seek Him .
Receive His Word.

Celebrate Christmas . . . as the grime and glory connect.

Learning with you to KICK START the day . . . with the Wonderful Counselor,

Love

 Meditate

God made his dwelling with us . . . there is no greater love . . . than Immanuel, God with us.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only [Son], who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
