Encounter God

Worship.
Lord God Almighty . . .
You are peace. . .
joy . . .
love . . .
holy . . .
In the uncertainty and brokenness of this world. . .
As we try to find the way through each day . . .
You are the Answer.
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
Now the Lord is the Spirit,
and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is freedom.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory,
are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
The Spirit gives clarity and perspective to see reality . . . to see through the circumstances of life . . . to see the presence of God. There is a freedom from living under the power and pressure of circumstances through the Spirit.

It is through the Spirit of God . . . we receive instructions to live fully and wholly . . . even when we find ourselves in the wilderness of living.  Telling our personal story about the faithfulness of God changes how we  perceive circumstances.

The people came together to worship God and told their story in prayer:
Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the wilderness. By day the pillar of cloud did not cease to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take. You gave your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold your manna from their mouths, and you gave them water for their thirst. For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen.  Nehemiah 9:19-21

They had turned away from God and found themselves wandering in the desert.  Despite their faithlessness, God provided for them in the wilderness . . . leading . . . guiding . . . providing . . . sustaining . . . instructing them through the Spirit.
Worship.
Confess your need for God.
Recount the faithfulness of God.
Praise God.
Learning with you to KICK START the day
 . . . intentionally encounter God,
