Something More in the Interruption

Think about the last time you were interrupted.  Was the interruption unwelcome . . . unexpected . . . inconvenient?   We have a choice of how to respond to interruptions.
Trust is vital to manage interruptions with a God-directed response.  To trust, we must consciously surrender to the Spirit of God. The Apostle Paul’s plans were interrupted when he was arrested and held in prison.  He wrote to the church at Philippi while imprisoned, stating:
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. (Philippians 1:6)

Think about how imprisonment interrupted and messed with the Apostle Paul's plans; however, he had the conviction to write: " I am convinced and am sure." In the Greek text, the word, peitho, indicates Paul  had been convicted that the personal work of God is always continual and ongoing. The thing is . . .   Paul did not disregard the ongoing work of God . . . he listened to the Spirit of God . . . responded to the Spirit by writing the letter we know as the book, Philippians, in the Bible . . .  impacting the people of that day as well as century after century with life-changing words.  Paul was not stuck in his circumstance waiting for release from prison but free in the Spirit to experience the work of God.

Worship:
Pray:  Show me what to do . . . reveal what You are doing in every moment of life.
Ask  God:  What are you doing in this interruption?
Consciously and intentionally: trust God to be at work, even during an interruption.
Respond: I am convinced and am sure God is doing a good work.
Learning with you to KICK START the day
. . . intentionally respond to interruptions with trust in God,
Pastor Kerrie
